One from a little later in the evening. Glow glow from Bamburgh and the mainland is still quite striking.
This was a stack of six images, all 13mm, f/2.8, 8s, ISO 3200.
Lovely. Was this a focus stack?
Thanks Julie. This wasn't a focus stack - even at f/2.8, on a 13mm lens I can get pretty much everything from around 1.5m acceptably sharp. The stacking was done in Deep Sky Stacker with the intention of reducing the noise. The software identifies known stars and aligns them to theoretically produce a cleaner image. I did need to pick one as a foregound shot, as it leaves the foreground a bit fuzzy.
I'll confess that I'm not getting the results I expected from the software - I think it's good, but I probably need to find a couple of decent tutorials online.
