I thought I would try something different. I would take 5 pictures during my morning walk (shapes & textures) and then combine them. I had some fun but the resulting image doesnt work for me. I think the problem is that it doesn't connect with my experience of the walk. And doesn't have any other meaning for me.
Well I lke it very much! The tones, textures, colours are making a real impresion of a landscape...I would only question the very black tree. It feels a bit stark...can you move it to the left a bit and soften away the trunk, so it is growing out of the foliage? It reminds me of Cheddar Gorge!
I could fiddle with it all day but it wouldn't mean anything to me. I'm happy for some images to emerge from the processing as if to remind me what I was striving for, but this day I set out with an outcome in mind. I will save the files in case they might help another project but this one didn't work
I am sorry you don't like it, Paul, but I can see what you mean about not expressing what you felt. However, the techniques you have used give the picture a very pleasing painterly look.
