Dave Banks gave us a fascinating insight into the world of journalism. After a lifetime of rubbing shoulders with the likes of Rupert Murdoch and deciding what images would be published in some of the biggest newspapers, Dave gave us some insights into what would make a photo attractive to a newspaper editor. After we had reviewed the shortlisted pictures for the 2020 British Journalism awards Dave went on to tell us about his experiences on Fleet Street and beyond and then critiqued our own pictures and suggested headlines. Thanks to Dave for such an interesting evening.

I enjoyed the night what I like most was David's points on what is happening behind the scene just to get the paper on the street.
