The club enjoyed a fascinating evening when guest soeaker Cameron Robertson delved into the detective work involved in puting together s photograhic archive.
One of the main subjects was recording the history of William Cowes confectionary business in Bridge Street which in its time was famed for the production of a unique sweet, the 'Berwick Cockles'
Cameron also brought to the screen images of fashions and faces in the town rescued from negatives on photograhic plates used in news coverage before the digital age set in.
