Great composition - a lot of triangles. Now I see why the judge liked it so much! There are multiple frames in the shop front and, because of the position you have taken the photo, they all lead you into the person. I also really like that your eye can then wander through the image and pick-up a lot of interest on the windowsill and the shop interior at the sides of the curtains - the eye isn't tempted to leave the scene because of simple top/base/sides of the photograph. Perhaps just a very slight crop-in from the right (to just inside the black vertical) would be something to consider.
Thanks for your thoughtful comments William. I think you're right about the right hand side. Do you mean to crop just inside the first black vertical which would leave the pink wall to balance the left hand side? I struggled a bit when cropping to fit an A4 format for printing. I should listen to what Geoffrey says about getting a mount to fit the image rather than vice versa!
