I would not have expected that the strong brightly it streak would work with the bridges subject, BUT IT DOES!
It is a lovely shot and the echoing diagonals of the bridge and sky make this an outstanding and very strong picture.
Thanks Peter. Yes, sometimes such laterally extensive features act as a barrier to entry to the image and can be a distraction to the main focus of the photo. This was taken on a very early morning cycle ride on estate roads which are not open to the general public using a car. The dawn light on the Forth Bridge and ripening cereal was fantastic.
